"Caterpillar" is a song sung at the end of "Jay Jay Earns His Wings". Jay Jay sings this as he and the newly hatched butterfly fly through the air together, as celebration of both "earning their wings" - Jay Jay trying a second attempt at Captain Wentworth's delivering and finishing on time, and the butterfly, which started out as a caterpillar before its long-time metamorphosis.
Lyrics
Jay Jay: Caterpillar, caterpillar,
Look at you, you're a big surprise.
You've got your wings,
And just like me, you can fly-y!
You're a butterfly!
Butterfly!
Caterpillar, caterpillar,
Growin' up before my eyes.
We've got our wings,
Let's celebrate and fly-y...
Into the skies!
Butterfly!
Come fly...
Come fly...
Come fly...
Come fly...
Come fly!
